11.18 It’s Monday! What are you reading? #Allegiant

A new week, a new batch of books—both finished and being read. Today is…

Oh, yeah! This was awesome. I kept stealing time every chance I got this weekend to finish. Man, it didn’t disappoint. Nice job, Ms. Roth.

What were PARENTS reading last week? Let’s check it out… (Thank you, commenters, for contributing to our book awareness. Reading is not a “school thing”.)

For every parent who leaves a comment on TODAY’S POST with what you’re reading, I’ll give your child a BUSTED ticket…

This week we will continue sharing our reading on Padlet! Students “flipped” this part of the class and completed their sharing at home. Now we can get right into sharing and talking about our reading.

[If anyone else is using SpinCam or Padlet to show what your students are reading, I’d love to know about it and link to my Friday post. Thanks.]
And just in case you missed it, here are the #ReadWalkWater tanks for which we raised money. So exciting!
Thanks,

  2. Hi Mr Etkin. I just finished reading The Perfect Match this weekend. I am going to the library after work to get a new book. I haven’t decided what I’m getting yet, but I will post after I pick it out.

  3. David…do I get a BUSTED ticket? I’m reading “The Slow Fix” by Carl Honore. He postulates that organizations and individuals should not only look at quick fixes, but have long – range goals to guide everything they do.

  4. As soon as I get the five school-aged kids onto their buses I will begin reading Mary Jane Clark’s “Dying for Mercy.” I have not yet cracked the cover, but according to the jacket it appears to be a murder mystery. (And as soon as the two little ones get up my reading time for this morning will be over.)
