What happens when an awesome author gets involved with a group of interested, go-getter readers?

THIS!

Mrs. Kami Kinard, author of  and now  saw some of the stop motion videos that my students had made. (Check them out here.) Kami offered to send along some cupcake erasers and an ARC of the new book so the girls could play around with making a stop motion video with them.

That’s all it took for Sarah, Jesenia, and Alexis.

Many hours of work later, we have this video. What was involved? Lots of “App Smashing”—iPad photos (hundreds), YouTube, Explain Everything, Notability, and iMovie.
