It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

{Celebrating the books we’ve read in the past week

&

the titles we are currently reading.}

This meme is originated by Jen and Kellee at TeachMentorTexts. Thanks!

 Before we get into the reading, how about a round of applause for the high school for going Bald for Bucks and raising $16,000 for Roswell Park Cancer Institute. HUZZAH!

 Roller Girl
Fun book by Victoria Jamieson. I can see why this one has received so much publicity and praise. It was cool to see girls in action! Astrid worked through a lot of social issues in this book. The friend situation she finds herself in is all too common, even as adults. Hopefully from reading about it, we can learn how to handle these situations when we face them ourselves.

This is a reissue of a wordless graphic novel that came out 5 years ago. I found the story a little hard to follow, but the artwork was stunning. Get a peak if you can sometime.
