12.2 It’s Monday! What are you reading? #Champion #Alliance

A new week, a new batch of books—both finished and being read. Today is…

{Celebrating the books we’ve read in the past week & the titles we are currently reading.}

Wow. What a finish to the trilogy. Definitely more “romantic” than the first two, but also TONS of action: narrow escapes—shootouts—leaping and parkour—guerrilla espionage.
Read This Trilogy.
Since I stopped at the library on the way home before vacation, I grabbed some picture books as well:
The Favorite Daughter by Allen Say
What were PARENTS reading last week? Let’s check it out… (Thank you, commenters, for contributing to our book awareness. Readingis not a “school thing”.)

For every parent who leaves a comment on TODAY’S POST with what you’re reading, I’ll give your child a BUSTED ticket…

[Check back throughout the day for updates of my students’ reading.]
This past week, my A Class read:
17 books
My B Class read:
7 books
My C Class read:
12 books
This ARC was on my iPad and begging to be read.
So I obliged.
I’m currently at about 45%.

I was just approved for the ARC of my Twitter pal Gae Polisner’s upcoming book,
Pretty pumped after her fabulous The Pull of Gravity.
This week we will return to SPIN CAM for sharing our reading.
But, before we do, how about some musical holiday fun:
Now… the READING!
Per 1&2
Per 6&7
 Per. 9&10
[If anyone else is using SpinCam or Padlet to show what your students are reading, I’d love to know about it and link to my Friday post. Thanks.]
And just in case you missed it, here are the #ReadWalkWater tanks for which we raised money. So exciting!

  2. I am so excited!!! I just bought “Oz: the complete collection” on Amazon. Only 99 cents for all 14 of Baum’s Wizard of Oz books. And I can read them on either my computer or my phone. I am very tempted to download the complete works of Edgar Allan Poe next, since it’s also on sale right now for 99 cents.

    • What a deal! I haven’t read past book 1 in Oz, but Poe is fascinating. I clearly remember listening to “The Pit and the Pendulum” with my dad as a boy. Creepy.
